- 심장의 근육내 미내랄화나,칼슘의 저장으로 간주 한다.
- 빈도는 3-5%이다.
- EIF 자체는 건강이나 심장 기능에 문제가 되지 않는다.
- 대게 임신 후기에 사라진다.
- 염색체 문제가 없는 이상, EIF 를 정상적인 변화나 변형으로 간주한다.
- 아시안 (30%), 백인 (11%), 흑인 (6%)정도 보인다고 한다.
Echogenic Intracardiac Focus (EIF)
- EIF is a small bright spot seen in the baby’s heart on an ultrasound exam.
- This is thought to represent mineralization, or small deposits of calcium, in the muscle of the heart.
- EIF are found in about 3-5% of normal pregnancies and cause no health problems.
- EIFs themselves have no impact on health or heart function.
- Often the EIF is going to the third trimester.
- If there are no problems or chromosome abnormalities, EIFs are considered normal changes, or variants.
- EIF may seen in up to 30% (Asian),11% (White), 6% (Black) fetuses.
